Wearable Computing - Apple Watch

An Immersive Education Summit is an event that takes place annually in different places of the world. It is an informative conference type event that features many speakers and subjects within Immersion. The topics consist of ways technology is paired with daily living and can help influence many aspects of ones' life. This includes but is not limited to 3D Printing, Holograms, Virtual Reality and Cybernetics. For more information on Immersion 2015 which is held in Paris this year visit

Over the years Apple has proved itself to be innovative and continually change the way we access and take advantage of technology. Apple Watch is the latest category of Apple products that is proving to be nothing less than hoped for. It is the first line of wearable Apple products. It incorporates everything you could think of to need. Being on your wrist it is easily accessed and conveniently in one spot. This product is innovative and everything you could want to access from only one device. Never worry about keeping track of your phone to make sure you don't miss a business call. It's right there on your wrist alerting you. It alerts you when you have a notification by tapping your wrist. This way it is not buzzing on the table in the middle of a meeting or constantly interrupting a conversation. The tap is simple and useful.

Because technology is constantly changing it is extremely important to be ahead of the trends. Apple has a knack for coming up with innovative ideas that are simple enough for any generation to use. Apple products are mostly self explanatory making it so that a child could use it as well as an older person who did not grow up with this sort of technology. I think that the simplicity of their deisgns are a major contributor to their success.

The watches have many features. One of the features is that of a communication device. You can use this as a phone of sorts. It pairs with your iPhone and can be used to send messages, record voice messages and communicate through your phone contacts. In order to use this service one must have either an iPhone 5, 5C, 5S,6 or 6+. These phones are available to connect with the watch and the watch will receive the same notifications.

The watch also has many other features. This includes all sorts of apps that are condensed into a smaller style that allows simple access quickly. Several of these features include a camera, music, Apple TV controller, stop watch, timer, alarm clock, weather, photos, Siri, maps, passbook, calendar, heart monitor, apple pay wireless payment system, fitness app, cardio app, phone and finally  of course any good watch is equipped with a clock.

The Apple Watch Sport is useful for many athletes that do not want to worry about where to put their phone when he or she runs or works out. There should not have to be a decision between listening to music during a work out on your phone or leaving your phone in the locker because it gets in the way. The watch has a health setting that monitors how many steps you've taken, heart rate and quality of movement. Once one has warn the watch long enough it gets to know the person and can come up with its own ideas for fitness goals and exercises. This watch adapts to the wearer and is comfortable because it is MADE for athletes. Why pay for a Fitbit that can only do one thing? The Apple Watch can do that and so much more by taking on all the best features of a phone and putting them in one convenient and non intrusive place.

Here is the demo done with the Apple Watch describing its usefulness!
